Information CommissionTerms Of Office
The State Chief Information Commissioner shall hold office for a term of five years from the date on which he enters upon his office and shall not be eligible for reappointment
What does this law say? Section 11 of the RTI Act talks about how long the State Chief Information Commissioner and State Information Commissioners can hold their jobs. They can serve for five years. They cannot be reappointed. Also, they must retire by age 65. This section also covers how they take an oath and can resign. In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires
Sec. 3
Subject to the provisions of this Act, all citizens shall have the right to information
Sec. 4
Every public authority shall, within one hundred days of the enactment of this Act
Sec. 5
A person, who desires to obtain any information under this Act
Sec. 6
Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, there shall be no obligation to give any citizen

The Central Information Commission
