🗣️ Simple Explanation

A court can order the police to search a place to find evidence, a person, or something related to a case. This is done with a search warrant, which is a permission slip from the court.

⚖️ Punishment

None (related to the process of search, not the crime itself).

💡 Real Life Example

If the police suspect someone has stolen goods hidden in their house, the court can issue a search warrant to allow the police to search the house.

🛡️ KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
  • You have the right to know the reason for the search.
  • You have the right to have a witness present during the search.
  • You have the right to refuse entry if the warrant is not shown.
